Why does Friday5s excite you as part of de Bono Consulting's Innovation on Demand programs?
Our Innovation on Demand programs featuring the work of Dr. Edward de Bono are the best in the world.  Sometimes it is difficult for the client to document their ROI and assure that the new skills are being used and supported on the job.  Friday 5’s helps to make the measurement and management of new skills as applied on the job visible. 

What are some of the current challenges companies face with implementing innovation strategies?
While innovation in and of itself is not new to business – the practice of innovation as a strategic imperative is.  Leaders within organizations now understand that in order to keep innovation going within an organization, employees need to develop skills so they can be creative and innovative on demand.  As with any change initiative employees need to:

Conceive what it is they need to do.
Believe they can do it.
Achieve. See the impact of their efforts.

This takes planning and documentation of the innovation initiative.

How will Friday5s help solve these issues?
Friday 5’s helps employees to Conceive and Believe.  Conceive by helping them set goals and make progress towards their innovation goals.  Believe by helping them track and measure not only their individual progress, but the progress of others attending skill building training with them and their individual manager. 

How does Friday5s compare to other follow-through management systems?
I am not aware of another system that is simple (5 minutes every Friday for 10 weeks) and focuses on follow-through from learning event to application in the field.

It’s a great feature to help with writing clear goal statements.
